UFS211 - Task 2

Simple Sentence

A simple sentence, also called an independent clause, contains a subject and a verb, and it expresses a complete thought. For example : 

1.  Some students like to study in the mornings.
2. Kelly and Juana play football every afternoon.

Compound Sentence

A compound sentence contains two independent clauses joined by a coordinator. The coordinators are as follows: for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so. Such as : 

1. I like chocolate ice cream, but my friend likes strawberry.
2. I tried to speak Spanish, and my friend tried to speak English.

Complex Sentence

A complex sentence has an independent clause joined by one or more dependent clauses. A complex sentence always has a subordinator such as because, since, after, although, or when or a relative pronoun such as that, who, or which. For example : 

1. The students are studying because they have a test tomorrow.
2. When he handed in his homework, he forgot to give the teacher the last page.

Compound - Complex Sentence

A compound-complex sentence is made from two independent clauses and one or more dependent clauses. Some example : 

1. We decided that the movie was too violent, but our children, who like to watch scary movies, thought that we were wrong.
2. Although I like to go camping, I haven't had the time to go lately, and I haven't found anyone to go with me.

UFS211 - Task 3

Since writing interrelates with external pressures, students benefit most from writing instruction when it provides them with a sense of how what they write can be connected to the world outside of the classroom. It was assumed that the writing process generally operated in some variation of five "stages". The configuration below is typical:

1. Prewriting
2. Drafting 
3. Revising 
4. Editing: proofreading
5. Publishing

1. Prewriting - is the first stage of the writing process. Elements of prewriting may include planning, research, outlining, diagramming.

2. Drafting - prepare a preliminary version of a text and select a person or group of people for a certain purpose.

3. Revising - making decisions about how you want to improve your writing and looking at your writing from a different point of view.

4. Editing - Editing is the stage in the writing process where the writer makes changes in the text to correct errors. Having revised the draft for content, the writer's task is now to make changes that will improve the actual communication with the reader.

5. Publishing - is the process of production and dissemination of literature, music, or information — the activity of making information available to general public.

UFS211 - Task 1

Actually Love can be divided into many variety; such as : can love their families, love their friends and also love their lovers. Speaking of love, many people will ask to love in the end is what? For me, actually love is a very simple thing, but is our human think it too complicated. But sometimes, for me, love also is a very delicate thing; as if gently touched it, it will easily break anymore.  Love will bring us pain, sad, or even torture. For example, if a couple does not cherish each other, then they will lose each other because of this reason. In fact, love also can be said that is two people's fighting. However, some people need love to the depths, just can understand the meaning of love. Now i can feel is the love from my family. They accompany my side, taking good care of me, listen me share and complain. Thus, I really want thank them, because they have never given up to me. If you know how to love your families, friends and lover, then this is called love. Even though, if you don't know what is love, then you need learn first how to love yourself. In the same manner, no family's love, no lover of love, no friends of love, then you will be one person. Finally, in the future, I want to find a person that I love and that person also love me too.

UFS201-1st Reflection Topic

What I can get from watching a picture paints thousand words, is about honesty and curiosity. Why? When the guy takes the camera, he saw much kind of pictures. Including picture himself. The guy was shocked. After that, the guy tries to retrace, hopefully able to find that girl. That’s where the curiosity arises. After fail to retrace, he mails the box containing the camera inside and address on the top of the box. That’s where the honesty arises, because he willing to send back the camera although it’s complete useless to him.After I finish watched a picture paints thousand words, in my opinion she got her camera back. But she still confuses and wondering who send backs the camera. A few days later, she turns on the camera and suddenly she saw that man taking picture with his number on. After that she calls that number. The man answer, and then they became closer. 1 year later, they get married.

UFS201-2nd Reflection Topic

Today was the 4th week of English class and today’s activity is Ghost story telling. All groups must tell their Ghost Story in front of everyone, including our group. We close the light to make it more real and scary. It’s quite fun because we more laughing than listening. Because every group tell their story in different styles. At first I felt a little bit scary, but after a few minutes I became more comfortable. Same as Miss Atee, we afraid of ghost! My experience in telling ghost story is not very good. Because at that moment I had a little bit fever makes my performance down. Telling a ghost story sound simple, but with no preparation or enough practice it can be really hard. Props and sound effects are important thing. Without it, this activity can be more boring. Briefly it was amazing moment.

UFS201-4th Reflection Topic

In the next class, we learn about the crazy commercials. Madam Maryati asked us to make a commercial about instant noodles promotion. Two people from our group promote the advertise about the instant noodles. Time for us to make the crazy commercials very short. but we can promote and give what our lecturers want.

UFS201-3rd Reflection Topic

Today during the class, I have learn about the conditional. I have know that there are three types of conditional. In the class, miss are give us activity in group which is create a commercial to promote some new product to customer by using the three types of conditional. After finished doing the commercial in class, miss are tells us to do a crazy commercial about awareness in group and will representing by next two weeks.
